Степень реакции изменения величины спроса на изменение одной из независимых переменных величин, влияющих на спрос. Изменение величины спроса в результате изменения цены на товар называется ценовой эластичностью спроса; изменение величины спроса в зависимости от изменения величины дохода известно как эластичность спроса по доходу; изменение величины спроса на товар как реакция на изменение цены сопутствующих товаров это перекрестная эластичность спроса.
